WASHINGTON, D.C.-- Over the weekend, Chairman John Moolenaar (R-MI) and Ranking Member Raja Krishnamoorthi (D-IL) of the House Select Committee on the Strategic Competition Between the United States and the Chinese Communist Party wrote to Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen following the prison sentencing of 45 pro-freedom activists in Hong Kong last week.
WASHINGTON D.C. -- Chairman John Moolenaar wrote to the President of Harvard University today, seeking answers after students were forcibly removed by an unidentified individual during an April event with the Chinese Ambassador Xie Feng. The students sought to bring attention to the Chinese Communist Party’s horrendous record of human rights abuses. During the incident, an alleged Harvard student from China dragged one of the students out of the event.

Today marks the start of the sham trial against Hong Kong’s Jimmy Lai. Hong Kong authorities arrested Mr. Lai on dubious charges such as colluding with foreign forces and sedition.
