Today, the Select Committee on the Chinese Communist Party is holding a hearing titled, "Authoritarian Alignment: The CCP's Support for America's Adversaries." 

WASHINGTON, DC -- The House Select Committee on the Chinese Communist Party will hold a hearing on January 30th at 9:00 a.m., E.T. in the Cannon House Office Building, Room 390, Washington D.C. The hearing is titled "Authoritarian Alignment: The CCP's Support for America's Adversaries."

The witnesses for the hearing will be:

• The Hon. Michael R. Pompeo, 70th U.S. Secretary of State
• The Hon. Leon E. Panetta, Secretary of Defense (2011-2013)

When: Tuesday, January 30th, 9:00 a.m. E.T.

Chairman Mike Gallagher (R-WI) of the House Select Committee on the Chinese Communist Party wrote to Navy Secretary Carlos Del Toro, expressing concern about the lack of a clear plan for storing and distributing fuel for American forces operating across the Indo-Pacific. In 2022, DoD ordered the Red Hill fuel storage facility in Hawaii to be defueled due to leaks that contaminated the drinking water on the island of Oahu.
