WASHINGTON, D.C. – House Select Committee on China Chairman John Moolenaar (R-MI) and House Education and Workforce Committee Chairman Tim Walberg (R-MI) are calling on Duke University President Vincent Price to end the Duke Kunshan University (DKU) in China.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – House Select Committee on China Chairman John Moolenaar (R-MI) and Ranking Member Raja Krishnamoorthi (D-IL), along with Reps. Rick Crawford (R-AR), Bill Foster (D-IL), Josh Gottheimer (D-NJ), Bill Huizenga (R-MI), Darin LaHood (R-IL), and Ted Lieu (D-CA), today introduced the Chip Security Act, a bipartisan effort to stop advanced U.S. AI chips from falling into the hands of adversaries like the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).

WASHINGTON, D.C. –  Chairman John Moolenaar of the House Select Committee on China has sent a letter to Battle Creek, Michigan Mayor Mark Behnke warning him about the dangers of Contemporary Amperex Technology Co., Limited (CATL), which is a Chinese military company that is partnering with Ford on a facility in Michigan. Moolenaar’s letter is in response to a letter Behnke sent the Michigan congressional delegation calling for taxpayer funding to support the Ford/CATL agreement. CATL was added to the Department of Defense’s list of known Chinese military companies in January, and the company helps the Chinese military develop battery technology that can be used in weapons systems, ships, aircraft, and vehicles. 

In his letter to the mayor, Moolenaar warns:
