WASHINGTON DC — The University of Michigan has announced it is ending its joint institute with Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU). The announcement follows a letter from Chairman John Moolenaar (R-MI) of the House Select Committee on the Chinese Communist Party to U-M President Santa Ono that detailed the ties between SJTU and the Chinese Communist Party’s military modernization efforts.

In the summer of 2024, lawmakers sought information from the FDA regarding clinical trials conducted at Chinese military hospitals, FDA site visits in the People’s Republic of China, and clinical trials occurring in Xinjiang, where the CCP is committing a genocide against the Uyghur people.

The New York Times reported yesterday that the Biden Administration withheld funding to the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA). Over a dozen of these swimmers ultimately competed in the Olympic Games, winning several medals, including gold.

In November, the ITC found that BOE infringed on multiple U.S. patents, however the ITC is set to still permit BOE products in the United States, despite the company being guilty of flagrant Chinese Communist Party-sponsored IP theft.
