John Garamendi (D-CA) introduced legislation to prohibit the use of Chinese Communist Party (CCP)-affiliated LiDAR technology by the Department of Transportation (DOT). Light Detection and Ranging (LiDAR) is a remote sensing technology that captures detailed three-dimensional maps of surrounding environments with millimeter-level accuracy.
