Early in President Biden’s term, there seemed to be broad continuity in the Administration’s China strategy.
While not perfect, I’d go as far as to say that, for CCP-realists like myself, there was a lot to like.
WASHINGTON, DC – Chairman Mike Gallagher (R-WI) and Ranking Member Raja Krishnamoorthi (D-IL) of the Select Committee on the Chinese Communist Party, today, sent letters to four U.S. Venture Capital Firms -- GGV Capital, GSR Ventures, Qualcomm Ventures, and Walden International -- expressing serious concern and demanding information about the firms' investments in Chinese artificial intelligence (AI), semiconductor, and quantum companies in the People’s Republic of China (PRC).

On Wednesday, July 19th, Select Committee on the Chinese Communist Party will host a thunderdome debate with policy experts on trade and economic engagement with China. The event will feature two bipartisan, two-person teams debating three main policy areas, including: China trade relations, technology exports controls, and investment flows.
