WASHINGTON, DC -- Rep. Mike Gallagher (R-WI), Chairman of the House Select Committee on the Chinese Communist Party, will deliver remarks on the steps of the U.S. Capitol at a gathering commemorating the one-year anniversary of the White Paper pro-freedom movement in China alongside a bipartisan group of students and Chinese pro-democracy activists.

WASHINGTON, DC -- The House Select Committee on the Chinese Communist Party will hold a hearing on January 30th at 9:00 a.m., E.T. in the Cannon House Office Building, Room 390, Washington D.C. The hearing is titled "Authoritarian Alignment: The CCP's Support for America's Adversaries."

Details: Members will receive a tour of the Foundry at Ginkgo Bioworks. Ginkgo's CEO, Jason Kelly, will lead a tour of the 300,000+ sq. ft. lab space and share more about the company's R&D services and steps to accelerate the bioeconomy and strengthen biosecurity. A select number of spots on the tour have been reserved for credentialed members of the press. Photography and videography are welcome at certain points of the tour. There will be a press availability with members and Dr. Kelly at the conclusion of the tour. 

The House Select Committee on the Chinese Communist Party will hold a hearing titled "All Roads Lead to Beijing? The CCP's Global Development Offensive" on Thursday, May 16th at 9:30 a.m., E.T. in HVC-210, U.S. Capitol Visitor Center Washington D.C.

The House Select Committee on the Chinese Communist Party will hold a hearing titled "From High Tech to Heavy Steel: Combatting the PRC's Strategy to Dominate Semiconductors, Shipbuilding and Drones" on Wednesday, June 26th at 10:30 a.m., E.T. in the Cannon House Office Building, Room 390, Washington D.C.

The Select Committee’s Critical Minerals Policy Working Group, led by Rep. Rob Wittman (R-VA) and Rep. Kathy Castor (D-FL) will hold its third meeting, Tuesday, July 23, from 2:00 – 3:30 p.m. to discuss the United States’ heavy reliance on Chinese imports of critical minerals, working with our allies to create alternative supplies of these minerals, and policy solutions to incentivize this shift.
