Today, Chairman Mike Gallagher (R-WI) and Ranking Member Raja Krishnamoorthi (D-IL) of the House Select Committee on the Strategic Competition Between the United States and the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) issued the following statement regarding the Department of Defense’s (DoD) recent inclusion of more than a dozen new People’s Republic of China (PRC) companies – including PRC LiDAR maker Hesai Technology – on its “Chinese Military Companies List”.

Dusty Johnson (R-SD) of the House Select Committee on the Chinese Communist Party and Chairman Sam Graves (R-MO), Ranking Member Rick Larsen (D-WA), and Rep. John Garamendi (D-CA) of the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee urged the Federal Maritime Commission (FMC) to work expeditiously to initiate a rulemaking on shipping exchanges and establish healthy and fair competition in the global shipping market.
