Moolenaar: Xi Goes Home with Nothing Gained

Chairman John Moolenaar of the Select Committee on China made the following statement on the summit between President Donald Trump and CCP General Secretary Xi Jinping:

“Xi Jinping would have liked nothing more than for this summit to surrender America’s advantage in AI, and reverse our Taiwan policy. He left with neither. President Trump was right to keep the meeting’s scope modest and to ignore Xi’s requests for major concessions. That pragmatic strategy recognizes China’s growing aggression, economic warfare, and support for our adversaries will all continue to be long-term challenges.”
