WASHINGTON, D.C. — Chairman John Moolenaar (R-MI) of the House Select Committee on the Chinese Communist Party and U.S. Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) sent a letter to Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin requesting that the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) immediately place CATL on the Section 1260H list, which exposes Chinese entities operating in the U.S. that have ties to the PLA or contribute to the Chinese Communist Party’s Military-Civil Fusion Strategy.

This is one of multiple investigatory steps the Select Committee is taking to shed light on China’s use of U.S. and allied semiconductor manufacturing equipment to undermine American security and interests.
WASHINGTON, DC – As first reported by NBC, Chairman Mike Gallagher (R-WI) and the Republican members on the House Select Committee on the Chinese Communist Party wrote to President Biden ahead of his meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping at the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation summit in San Francisco next week.
